1987: Upsilon Metal Founded
Based on 5 years experience in an antenna factory, Mr. Lin starts his own business, a small workshop in Taoyuan, Taiwan.
1990: Upsilon Metal Seeks Investment From Mainland
Because of high-quality standards, Mr. Lin rapidly increased his OEM antenna orders for televisions and radios. About 60% of orders are from Japan, Europe and the United States. Meanwhile, Mr. Lin visits Mainland China to seek investment to expand.
2000: Upsilon Expansion
Upsilon invests a brass factory, in Guangdong, China in order to increase capacity and expand product lines. Upsilon also develops its first 3 proprietary products: a Telescoping Back Scratcher, a Telescoping Laser Pointer and a Telescoping BBQ Fork.
2001: Sets up Office in Zhangjiagang, Expands R&D
Set up an office in ZhangJiaGang, China. Expanded the R & D Department to investigate the various application of telescopic structures. Starts producing products made from stainless steel and aluminum. Upsilon starts getting noticed domestically in the market for stationery gifts and hardware.
2007: Builds New, “One-Stop Shop” Factory in Fujian
The new facility handles all aspects of production, including: design and engineering, mold creation, pipe cutting, lathing and surface treatment as well as assembly lines. The new facility was able to accommodate 90% of foreign orders, despite the fact they were diverse applications ranging across more than 50 industries.
2009: World’s First Mass Producer of “Selfie Sticks”
The first manufacturer to upgrade production lines to mass produce a variety of selfie sticks.
2014: Dora Lin Becomes Global Sales Director
Dora Lin, daughter of Lin Po Tsai, becomes Global Sales Director as well a role in product development.
2017: Rebrand for an International Market
Under the leadership of Dora Lin, Upsilon Metal rebrands as Upsilon.Tech and focuses on developing new industrial design and manufacturing partnerships as well as self-developing unique products for industrial markets; The first two products: Mongoose Strap-Handler and U-Ramp.

Lin Po Tsai
30-years ago, Lin Po Tsai opened a tiny workshop in Taiwan, with 10 workers, that produced a single product: radio and television antennas.
Since then, he has guided the company to having the largest selection of telescopic products in the market today across a range of products for Households, Garden Tooling, Hardware, Sports, Travel & Tourism and more.

Dora is in charge of International projects She has managed over 700 projects ranging from golf ball retrievers to selfie sticks, hardware tools and customized industrial and retail solutions.
She has worked with the following industries: Construction, Electronics & Technology, Engineering, Industrial Cleaning, Manufacturing, Pet Supplies, Retail and more.
Design and Engineering
Our engineers are the best in the industry. They have decades of experience designing solutions that utilize telescoping metal tubing.
Jesse has experience with welding, stamping, plating and a variety other metal processes. As Head Engineer, Jessie works directly with Dora to service key accounts. She also makes sure the company stays abreast of new technologies that allow Upsilon.Tech to continue providing the most modern solutions available to meet the special needs of different industries.

Proficient in spraying technology and finishing (spraying, electroplating, spraying, polishing, sandblasting, etc.) manufacturing process. Our production team has decades of combined experience in across a wide range of engineering and production processes.
Responsible for the implementation of high precision parts lathe processing solutions to solve specific complex mechanical problems. Specializes in all kinds of metal and plastic, and even brittle materials for bars and tubes processing. In the fixture, mold, machining workshop (CNC, milling machine, lathe) mechanical processing has 15 years of experience.
Plan all production processes, set clear goals for results, and assess the fluency of each program in a timely manner. Establish verification procedures to ensure that all products pass standard and on time. To assist in the development and technical guidance of new projects, to further determine the production of new products and assembly process, a substantial increase in production efficiency.
Materials, Receiving & Inspection Management. Quality supervision of all materials, semi-finished and finished products. To make sure that each product will have at least 3 times 100% full check during prodution, so that each product is in the highest standards to meet customer needs.

Supplier Management & Sourcing Lead
Manage Supplier Disruptions & Supplier Quality Issues. Assists internal and external suppliers with process and quality issues. Troubleshoot to determine root cause and formulate appropriate corrective action. Ensure final process is capable and stable, either in-house or at supplier.
